Services
  1. 24-Hour Phone/Text
    Our crisis line is running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. An advocate is on staff at any time to speak to about your crisis. We provide crisis intervention which includes calling law enforcement if needed, providing you with information about Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders, safety planning so that you have a plan in place to keep you and your children safe, and referrals to other programs that may better assist all, or some of your needs.
  2. Advocacy
    We provide a listening ear, help victims sort through their options, assist with Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders, make referrals to other agencies and provide a support group. Our Advocates believe and validate your experiences by listening to and believing the survivor, acknowledge their feelings and let him/her know that they are not alone. They acknowledge injustice and assure the survivor that the violence perpetrated against them is not his/her fault. No one deserves to be abused. We respect the survivor's right to make decisions in his or her own life. and we help them plan for safety.
  3. Safe Shelter
    Emergency shelter and other safe-home options are available for victims of domestic violence and their children. These services are not always available as it highly depends on our intake volume and the number of residents already using these services. But referrals will be given if we cannot fill your need.
  4. The Revolution
    A new program designed to help teens identify potentially violent situations, whether at home, school, or in relationships and provide them with the tools to be able to seek out the hlep that they need. The Revolution also provides safe, fun, alternative solutions and activities for the teens in the Park Rapids and surrounding areas. The group is open to teens ages 13-18 from any school in the area, including but not limited too,
  5. Community Awareness And Education
    Educational programs and in-service training sessions are available for professionals, schools, churches, and civic groups. We are now registered "CUT IT OUT" Trainers and are offering training sessions to salons in the area. To get more information please call (218) 732-7413
  6. Case Management
    Our office is now offering more individualized case management options for our clients. This includes goal setting, weekly one-on-ones and follow up phone calls and meetings to make sure that everything is going smoothly and to provide any other services we can to insure your future without violence and your path to self sufficiency.
